What to expect
This workshop brings together a group of administrators from various schools for training and discussion as we take a deep dive into a WordPress Multisite (WPMS). The workshop provides both applied training and concrete examples of administering WordPress Multisite (WPMS), along with individual help, peer support and time for questions.

On the day
The workshop sessions are scheduled to take place as follows:
Start time: 12pm EDT
End time: 5pm EDT
Live sessions will take place in Whereby, and you don’t need to download an app as it’s a browser-based platform. Check which browsers are supported and find out how to join.
In addition to the live sessions, you can join our WordPress Multisite (WPMS) chat channel on Discord to chat with fellow participants, share your progress or ask a question.

- 12:00pm Welcome and WordPress Multisite Overview Whereby Meeting: Meet our expert team and fellow participants and get set for the workshop. We’ll also introduce you to WordPress Multisite, and talk about the key features. If you have specific questions you’d like to cover today, this is the time to share them and our team will pick them up throughout the day.
- 12:30pm The Basics of Administering WPMS Video Lesson: Learn about how to find the WPMS Network Admin Dashboard, how to add sites and more (includes a bonus lesson for experienced admins).
- 1:00pm Themes & Plug-ins Video Lesson: Learn about plug-ins which make administration a WPMS easier, more accessible and more secure.
- 2:00pm How to build a WPMS that supports your goals Video Lesson: Whether your project is just getting off the ground or has been around for a while, this session helps you think about your goals for what kind of space you want to create, and how.
- 2:30pm Q&A: Getting started, themes & plug-ins Whereby Meeting: Ask our team questions about the topics covered so far.

- 3:30pm Archiving Sites and Long Term Management: Video Lesson: Learn more about what happens when users leave a WPMS institution or organization, common considerations that need to be taken into account and deciding what to do with their sites.
- 4:00pm Explore Case studies for WordPress Multisite Video Lesson: Whether you are an experienced admin or just getting started, we have a range of case studies for you to explore.
- 4:30pm Q&A: Troubleshooting & Long Term Developments Whereby Meeting: Ask our team your questions and get practical help.
The workshop is designed to offer you maximum support and time with our team whilst also fitting flexibility into your busy schedule.
Video lessons and workshop materials are made available one week before the live sessions, to help you prepare and make the most of the live sessions on the day. These materials and any session recordings remain available for a month afterwards so you can review the materials again.
